Made of new miracle space-age elastomerics that ””grip”” the work piece holding it securely without any slipping marring or staining. Doesn’t even require excessive clamping pressure. Pad material was developed for missile launch tube liners so is really tough does not readily impregnate and will give years of service. Permanetly bonded to an aluminum plate.
